For an industry to operate under a “free market”, it cannot be mandated by the government.

Healthcare is mandated by the government.

Obama Care: Get private insurance, or we are going to charge you extra taxes and make you pay for it anyway.

Medicare and Medicaid: Pay us these taxes, or we’ll take them anyway and fine you more; or if you refuse to pay, we will LITERALLY PUT YOU IN PRISON. i.e. – The couple who refused to pay SS and are still in federal prison.

The healthcare industry is MANDATED by the government. It is not influenced by the free market, because it isn’t part of one in the United States.
